November 2025 Privet Blitz

There are beautiful flowers at this time of year: kānuka, native clematis, hangehange, kōwhai, and more. But spring brings weed growth and flowers as well, and soon the sneezing starts from the privet pollen in the air.

What if this spring could be different?

Thanks to a generous grant from the Seagull Centre and support from Andy and his team at Cut’n’Paste, TEA can supply a small amount of targetted herbicide to help you with the privet at your place. Here’s how it works.

Step 1: Get in touch! We need to know what the issues are, how many weeds you have, how accessible they are etc. Once you’ve registered, we’ll call to have a chat about it. Just fill in the form at the bottom of the page and we’ll be in touch.

Step 2: Get information. If needed, we’ll make a time for a quick visit to see exactly what you need, to show you the recommended way to deal with your weeds, and make sure you’re able to carry it out safely. We’ll give you all the information you need to identify weeds at your place, how to deal with each of them, as well as some herbicide to stop them coming back.

Step 3: Get to work! Our blitz weekend is November 15th/16th. Snap a photo before you start, get stuck in, and let’s see the results!

Step 4: Get extra help. If you need specialist help for tricky trees, we can help arrange that too.

Sound good? Fill in the form and we’ll be in touch!
